Thank you to ACPS folks signing up to save the M&M show at Brookside

I’d like to thank the people that came to our aid in the time of “Oh my gosh we need participants for the M&M show before Aug 1st or we won’t have riding or driving.” After speaking with Joanie Webster and Kathryn Freeman the evening of “What shall we do?”, and deciding on a “calling tree” to get our message out as soon as possible. I got off the phone and had a thought. “I’ll call people who have some of my ponies!” “I’ll tune up some in my own yard.” This should do it, I hoped?!
After an hour or so on the phone, it was done! We had at least five for each class, making it affordable to proceed with the classes.
However, having more ponies would make the show a bigger success, so those of you how have not done so, please consider coming!!!
California, in the last years (we have had only two other M&M shows) had more participants than even the Devon show back East.
So I want to thank:
Diana & Jerry Cooley, the Sanders twins, Bonni Kelley, Darian Hall, Tricia Ervin, The Ongs, the Cihaks and others who signed up right away. You have made this happen!!
It was too late to call Kathryn Freeman that night. So, at 6:30am the next morning, I called her and told her she was “OKAY”. The classes had enough entries to go forward. We now have until August 18 (entry deadline) to get more participants. You could hear the relief in her voice. She was thrilled! Mountain and Moorland Day, Friday, September 12, would happen.
What’s really special about this show, is that we meet new people, we see new ponies and we all have the same connection…….loving the type of ponies who run fee on the Mountains and Moorlands……Do Come!!!!
