- About Me:
- I bought my first Connemara in about 1968 from Al Mavis in Rochester, Illinois. She was the 12th Connemara in California. She lived to be 32-1/2 years old, and I still own her grandson who is almost 30. In 1984, Oak Hill's Cinnamon Twist appeared with the Foxfield Drill Team as a featured attraction during the Olympic Games. I've owned many Connemaras over the years, including Cricket's Mr. Lucky, who was Washington Pony Champion eight years running before we bought him, plus pony champion many times after we were lucky enough to own him. He appeared with the Foxfield Drill Team for years, including at Madison Square Garden and during that National Horse Show in Washington, DC.
